Phnom Penh, March 27, 2026 — Speaking at a public forum, H.E. Dith Tina, Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries, highlighted Priority Policies 5 and 6, while taking the opportunity to outline the ministry’s engagement in the Public Financial Management Reform Program – Phase IV. The initiative aims to further strengthen performance accountability and economic efficiency, particularly through aligning targets with government policy implementation and outcomes.

The Minister emphasized key strategic pillars, including “ensuring food availability” by strengthening food security and boosting the production of strategic agricultural commodities. He also underscored “improving livelihoods” as a foundation for daily living and for enabling future generations to build skills and transition toward industry and service sectors for higher income. In addition, he highlighted “sustained use and long-term availability,” referring to adequate supply of agricultural products, protection of natural resources, and the promotion of sustainable economic and environmental development.

Through this forum, H.E. Dith Tina outlined three core programs: agricultural value chain development, sustainable management of agricultural natural resources, and institutional strengthening alongside enhanced support services. These efforts aim to enable officials to deliver more effective public services to farmers, ensure inclusivity among stakeholders, and generate shared benefits.

In closing, the Minister encouraged all participants to actively engage in open discussions, provide constructive inputs, and share feedback to ensure alignment with national goals and policy directions, ultimately delivering tangible outcomes for Cambodia’s agricultural sector.
